Watch Out, NYFW! Suits Are Here To Stay.

This year’s New York Fashion Week has proven itself to be unlike any other. Bold colors, eclectic locations, diverse lineups, and star-studded guest lists have made each and every day truly outdo the last.

Being in the fashion industry, we have been keeping a close eye not only on the runways, but also on the guest lists as celebrities, influencers, and icons made their presence known at various shows throughout the week.

And the one item that made a major statement this year?

You guessed it - the tuxshedo.

Women all over the city donned their version of a tuxedo. From classic, all black ensembles to fun pops of colors and patterns, the suit definitely made a statement at this year’s NYFW.

At the Tom Ford show that kicked off this year’s events, Jessica Joffee donned an all black suit and paired it with a pair of strappy stilettos, Gina Gerson went classic with an off-white jacket over a black matching pantsuit, and Hailee Steinfeld rocked an embellished matte black tuxedo with matching clutch.

At Ralph Lauren’s 50th Anniversary, the guest list fell nothing short of amazing and so did the outfits. Tracee Ellis Ross paired a tailored suit jacket with a classic sequin gown, Anne Hathaway went retro with a velvet and satin look, and Blake Lively channeled cirque de solei vibes with a sexy ringmaster tuxedo and matching cane.

This week, we’ve also seen a lot of influencers and celebrities head to the streets of New York to express their own kind of suit style. From a mix of bright colors to expressive silhouettes, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite looks outside of the runways.

LA Fashion Blogger, Payton Sartain, donned a gold tuxedo dress with a pair of white knee-high boots.

Singer-songwriter, Kelly Rowland, wore an all white suit with statement shoulders at a Belvedere Vodka event late last week.

Denver Fashion Blogger, Ranti Onayemi, looked stunning in this deep forest green suit that gave us all the feels for fall. We also loved the relaxed silhouette paired with the bold front lapel buttons.

New York-based DJ, Hannah Bronfman, owned an all pink tuxedo at the Tom Ford fashion show to kick NYFW into high gear. We’re obsessed with this color and might even need to add it into the Tux Couture lineup. What do you think?
